The Hybrid Savings Calculator helps you estimate the financial and CO2 reduction benefits from driving a specific model hybrid electric vehicle. The tool uses fuel efficiency data published by the Canadian Government for all light duty vehicles sold in Canada for the last ten model years. Due to the integrated nature of the North American auto market the vast majority of the vehicles listed in the calculator were also sold in the United States.

The calculator will help you determine:

  • The money you would save each year through lower fuel costs.
  • The number of tonnes of CO2 emissions that would be reduced each year.
  • The total cost of ownership difference between a hybrid and a conventional vehicle.
